Catalysts for ORR Based on Silver-Modified Graphene Oxide and Carbon Nanotubes

The main obstacle to the widespread dissemination of fuel cells is high cost, so researchers are actively searching for ways replace expensive platinum catalyst with cheaper analogs. In this paper we studied Ag- and Pd-containing carbon catalysts based on nanotubes graphene oxide. study textural characteristics showed that greatest specific surface area has a MWCNT containing 10% silver, all synthesized mainly mesoporous, content micropores insignificant. Raman spectroscopy SEM data indicate significant change in structure modified carriers compared pure GO. An electrochemical experiment was performed linear voltammetric diagrams were obtained catalyst. GO_Ag MWCNT_Ag Pd closest values kinetic parameters both diffusion regions. highest initial potential Eonset = −0.145 V half-wave E½ −0.23 V. have comparable those presented literature.
